You know there are journalists and media stations who work in public service right? Like it also their job to do this because their work is supposed to put an emphasis on public-interest reporting that serves the general public. Not the government or for profit companies.

It's much more reasonable to blame the media than Democrats for the way the media does reporting, but it doesn't fix anything. We can't rely on the press to get better unless the criticism gets a lot hotter near the top of the food chain.

This is a vichy media problem that the Democrats have broadly adapted to poorly - but like it was the media who defected first and more often in this prisoner's dilemma.
