Audits of Ft. Knox have been a right wing obsession for decades. Rand Paul's father Ron was always calling for it. If they do they'll find there is not enough gold there to cover the nation's debts. They'll use it as an excuse to cut social spending. It doesn't really matter to the economy at all.
