I guess what’s prompting me to respond to you is that “popular” and “nobody” erases the existence of 7 percent of the population who ended up disabled because of the popular rush to an unsafe “normal.”

I guess I just think that that was baked in: at least since Delta, nobody has ever had a viable plan for preventing everyone in the world from getting covid multiple times, and keeping schools closed an extra 1 or 2 or 6 or 12 months didn’t change that
We could have had a viable plan of improving indoor air safety to minimize harm; we just chose to do it the worst way instead. It was a terrible choice for parents to have to choose between sending their kids to an unsafe school, or somehow functioning without school.
