Interesting. When I had Covid last summer I tested positive for a rather long time (23 days). I was concerned that this meant I was headed for a long Covid situation but eventually my symptoms went away. Is it unusual to test positive on a RAT for that long? Is that just viral debris?

It is not common, but also not rare. Have heard it a few times. It not necessarily means infectious virus. Could be debris. Important is that you fully recovered!

When you wrote me in February of this year you stated that you "do wear [a mask] for work and in the hospital." May I ask what's led you to drop the practice? From my (admittedly amateur) reading of recent published research, Covid's more of a threat, not less. And what of all the immunocompromised?

That is correct, when needed for work, such as working in class 2 or 3 facilities, or when the situation asks for it. But, standardly, I do not mask since August 2022. I am not in a vulnerable group, nor are the people around me, and we are all vaccinated. SARS-CoV-2 is no more of a threat now.
