He’s not “killing” a generation of scientists, he’s driving them abroad and killing US based research, but he’s not killing them. Please lose the “US is the centre of the universe” outlook, it’s a big part of what got you where you are.

The rest of the world cannot make up the funding. If a grad student has to become a bus driver rather than continue their research, the science has been killed, even if the person survives.

That's the point of the exercise: knowledge is a base of power, and MAGA must eliminate all its challengers. Medicine in particular must be destroyed in order to usher in a program of soft eugenics: after all, if you're sick, you should just die, and if you're healthy, you don't need a doctor!
