It’s great for habit formation and the mental cue to produce written words. Whether I get a lot or a little done, my ass stays on the seat and the keyboard right under my fingers.

Butt in seat, hands on keyboard. Writing Excuses podcast talks about this often. I usually set a timer, put everything on DND and (literally) throw my phone across the room. Then I force myself to be 100% focused on the words until the timer goes off.

I make sure to get a dedicated 30 minute block every day no matter what. Then I try to get a dedicated hour or more on each day I’m off from work/school to review the .tknotes and add more vibrance to the rough.
