In the light of most recent trends, if I'd still agree about us being passengers and sunshine/nature activities, I think we should stop telling people to think with their own heads, speak their own truth, stand by their beliefs.

Yes, easy to be set in ways which worked well, were useful and necessary, long after the need for them has gone. Especially, if in the past, even considering how to spend time or change things was impractical or unrealistic. Like a form of waiting, instead of giving ourselves permission to explore.
