Thinking that people not liking Beyonce means they’re misogynistic and/or racist is the problem. Just because she’s a black woman, doesn’t mean she should be exempt from criticism.

No one said she should be exempt from criticism. But it is in fact very true that racism is a component in some people not liking her. I had a debate with someone the other day and asked who would perform better, and she listed all white people who, imo, don't perform on the same level as her 🤷🏿♀️
So you want a current black woman who is a better artist than her? Rihanna. Or we can go way back and list Aretha, Janet, Tina… Even Mariah Carey had a better voice, just not as catchy songs. Beyonce isn’t even in the Top 5 black women, let alone when disregarding race and gender.
I said artists who could do a better performance than Beyonce. And the woman I debated couldn't back up her statement that Beyoncé lacks talent. Even your picks are all women that have given Beyonce her flowers. So what point are you trying to make?
This is not a conversation about like and dislike. And that’s where the racism comes in. You don’t “like” her so you discount what she does and he well she does it. The OP is saying “Beyoncé has never once been overrated no matter how much you DON’T like her. And you look crazy saying it.”
And that’s stupid to believe, because you’d be arguing against actual musicians like Prince that told Beyoncé she wasn’t a musician because she didn’t know an instrument when he was alive (which is the majority of her career).
So no, she’s an underrated performer but overrated musician.
Prince didn’t tell her that. Prince put her through the wringer and she passed with flying colors because the voice IS an instrument. And Prince knew that. Besides, she plays piano. So. 🤷🏾♀️
She started playing piano when I started playing piano, which is far after earning more than 100 million dollars in her career. She ain’t never play no shit gig for 50 bucks. She’s an amazing singer and performer. Good musician she will never ever be, her chance for that been gone.
She BEEN played shit gigs for FREE lmao. And is already an amazing musician. You’re fighting something that already happened like not being an instrumentalist precludes you from making music. It does not. At all.
When? Where? Show us these piano performances at 24 person gigs where she helped set up and played for the same type of money most musicians have to play for in their careers?
It would be so easy to just drop some sort of evidence, if it existed. So where is it?
That woman has not, will not, and will never, play no dingy ass club piano for 50 bucks. Not happening. She ain’t never roadie on a gig for the homies and set up equipment. Like, you don’t know what it is to actually be a musician and neither does she lmaoooo. Love her all you want but BFFR.
I am curious how you (or anyone else) determine how talented someone is. Is it the quality of their voice? Live performances? General music appeal? Beyonce has aggregate sales of around 200 million in the US alone. That has to count for her broad-based appeal and audience perceptions of her talent.
