I remember seeing one of these near Winchester, guessing it was getting something done at Winchester Depot. First have a lot of these. I think most have since been scrapped due to DDA regulations. Are any preserved? I know First used these as trainers and nicknamed "prison buses". - ThreadSky

theres a couple near me for some reason stored in the back of house areas of a theme park. have seen them recently, one got smashed up for an attraction the other i think is just rotting
all i know of them as of recent, they were cool why can't we have more

DDA. Thats why some of my early childhood buses went out of service in 2017. Buses with step entrances cannot run in public service anymore. I miss these so bad.

just looking into dda (didnt know what it was) and it shouldn't have affected the bluebirds, the ones we got were mostly the fourth gen (1999-2013) so best bet it was the equality act (2010) that did them in
maybe getting the current gen ones in might do; surely they have the same laws in america

i find it funny how we had a few generations of the bluebird all american- sort of defeats the name, but glad we did, oddball buses out of their usual habitat are cool. think i came across a preserved example, this one here https://www.facebook.com/p/Blue-Bird-Schoolie-UK-100066621561816/?locale=fo_FO

Coaches have lifts and yes, you can ride of them in preservation.
