Exactly! And so many of those same arguments can be applied to lots of holidays, especially the consumerism part! Whether single or taken, romantic or platonic, I think celebrating love is important

Yes absolutely. Like are the consumerist sure but you don't have to engage with it like that. I love Christmas and the gift giving is a small part of that enjoyment. That should be able to carry to all holidays. Glad you are saying this.

Yes! It’s as “consumerist” as you make it. Myself and so many others would be perfectly happy celebrating by just spending quality time together making memories. My husband and I give each other handmade cards for every holiday and it’s what I look forward to most
