The problem with using Facebook in a direct comparison to twitter is that a lot of people use(d) FB for family photos and major life milestones.

twitter was more of the informative space, FB was more the familial space. twitter can be dumped, FB (for me at least) holds 17 years of memories...

Congrats on ep 1! People should own and be in control of their own data and social graphs, with the apps as interoperable tools. Or we keep repeating the enshittification.
B/c of the collective action problem, new apps need to have value to people early, without needing millions there first.
