An option is to take a civics and current events test geared to ensuring you are an informed voter.

When voters actually go into a polling location, they will see a variety of “regular” people who are working, many of us for just one day. People from the neighbourhood. We are the face of “Elections Canada”. There is a huge team of people who want/ need a temporary job and want to be useful.

I'd say the manipulation narrative has already been successful in muzzling the press from directly calling out those responsible for perpetuating the most egregious examples of voter suppression and democratic disinformation, for fear of appearing "biased". This article is a prime example.
