Mantic having about a 50/50 hit rate between perfectly adequate crisply finished miniatures, and shoddy cartoonishly outsized badly fitting miniatures put me off of them years ago.

That they don't seem to have improved over the last 8-9 years is puzzling.

They definitely have improved a lot in the last 15 years. Their latest hard plastic stuff is fantastic.

Yeah I have about a million Mantic models and while I'm not going to pretend they're at the caliber of peak GW, they're totally fine for what they are and have largely improved in quality since I've started buying them. There's still the odd resin kit that kind of sucks, but those are the exception.

Hope it has a better life than the previous 2 halo wargames 🥲 loved fleet battles. Scratched the battlefleet gothic itch.
