This is interesting.
Back in 2005 I worked at a NEW Labour academy. Year 7 had one main teacher. They stayed in their tutor group for lessons. It was nurturing.
My son at his secondary grammar had similar in Year 7 (20 years later). There are ways of transiting into secondary that work!
