A non answer isn’t encouraging! We’re talking about X specifically. Necessary evils to contend with in media and art in capitalism, of course. But if I follow your logic, why aren’t you cross posting to Truth Social or Gab for maximum engagement to keep the dream alive? Cross stream on Rumble too?

It'd be nice if I was making anywhere close to the wage necessary to allow me the time to be on all platforms equally. The reality is the vast majority of sports news still breaks on Twitter. Being there is a necessity for my work. I'm trying to make this platform work as well.

Almost 31M world wide users is good, not great. Most of those aren't remotely interested in football. When the number interested in football reaches just 10% of that, it starts being a real alternative.

Plenty of small journos, authors, etc. doing great on Bluesky and capitalizing ($$$) from being a small contingent to reject a clearly odious, hateful platform. Like set aside the moral implications (yikes); from a pure cynical perspective it’s an opportunistic business move !

Question - I've seen that but wasn't sure if they're the same thing (I actually block X links at the network, so the preview doesn't render). BUT... if you have the YT link, why not just post that? Less work for you, yes?

I only post the YT links. Twitter automatically shares the live link and that gets synced across here. I could come over here and delete those links daily, but I don't. I also think the amount of consternation about those ignorable links is unreasonable when there are YT links everyday.

I’ve canceled my Twitter account but don’t have any problem w Brian linking back to that app.

I’ll personally never click on that link either, but people need to cut Brian some slack as a one-man band currently running a bunch of social media accounts (and putting out great content daily).
