I began the day with a photograph of my climbing rose 🌹 & I shall end it in just the same way🩷
In full bloom it reminds me of The Roses of Heliogabalus painted in 1888 by Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema
It is by far the most opulent petal painting I have ever seen🌹🌸🌿
