I've always avoided putting the Canadian flag in my username. I've never thought it to be very Canadian, tbh. But I changed my mind as soon as Trump announced his intentions to tarrif our exports and as soon as he threatened economic blackmail to force us to join his shitty country.
I've been actively battling my inherent anti-Americanism for decades, thinking I was making decent progress, even though I vowed to never enter that country again. It's all out the window. I've relapsed. I absolutely hate the USA again. I'm so done with their shit.
I feel this so hard. But, I will say as someone who has dear treasured 🇺🇸 friends who can’t help which country of birth they’ve been saddled with, there ARE good, kind, logical, and truly democratic ones out there. Don’t forget that we in 🇨🇦 also have our fair share of crazy maple MAGAts.
I'm not talking about Americans. I'm talking about America. They are not our friends. Honestly, they never really were. The relationship is so toxic. We rush to their aid and when when we're in need, they ignore us. It's time for Canadians to recognize this relationship always has been one-sided.
