The Liberals are watching hundreds of thousands of people in 🇺🇸 turn out for AOC and Bernie and think the running to the right is a good strategy in Canada 🇨🇦. They have the political instincts of glue.

(What I mean specifically is) Singh’s current lack of leadership means NDP won’t win this election, so it’s down to Liberals and Conservatives. We all agree the Cons mustn’t win, so let’s leave criticizing the Libs until AFTER the election and demand a Green/NDP/Liberal coalition to keep Libs left 🙏
I’m so curious about what is actually happening in the US. I see those protests but, I mean, that would be a massive shift in voter sentiment if AOC or Bernie could gain national traction. Is this really what is happening? Would be absolutely spectacular if so.
I don’t think the spectrum right now is right to left but who has the fight in them or not. When Bill Kristol is cheering Bernie and AOC, it’s something else happening.
I always find it curious how leftist/progressive parties are expected to shift toward the center, adopting more conservative positions. You almost never hear, "the right-wing party moved to the center or is adopting more progressive stances"—you'll never hear it.
We are not at the point yet in Canada where a move left wins votes. That's why the NDP is not viable. The US can do this because they moved hard right with tRump. Ideally, a minority Lib govt, propped up by the NDP gives us the left move. Much like we had before Jagmeet abandoned the agreement!
