Yea my black DualSense got stick drift, which pissed me off. I’m very wary about spending $80+ on any of the LE controllers due to that ticking time bomb.
Ironically, mine has quit drifting. It fell in a puddle of water after Helene hit. When i turned itbon this week, what drift it had was gone. Just have to see if it holds.
I cant tell if its just me but i feel like the stick quality this generation has been trash for whatever reason im up to 4 PS5 controllers with a 5th coming cuz they all have stick drift, at the same point in the PS4 generation i had only 3 PS4 controllers
It’s terrible, dualsense edge was worth it for me. Haven’t had a problem but if I do, just a $20 stick module change instead of scrapping the entire controller.
dude stick drift on modern controllers is driving me INSANE! I tested all 6 of my controllers from various consoles and all of them had varying levels of drift from extreme to minor. The only one that wasn't noticeably off was ironically my switch pro controller 😭
Ya man, I held out since launch until last month. Just got these 2. My batteries were lasting less than an hour along with drift. My 2 pros will come with 2 more, so I'll have a full set of 4 across both consoles.
I had to buy three in a year because they kept having issues ranging from stick drift to some internal thing. These things are NOT cheap to buy, and yet are apparently quite cheap to make...
If you're good with electronics you can open the controller up yourself and replace the joystick, it's pretty easy but you just have to have the soldering iron and parts for it first.
