I think Blue Sky is a work in progress & will improve. I'm very new here, even though I secured an "invitation" some time ago. Back then, it just seemed like a lot of work. It's evolved into something that feels much more user-friendly. And I'd rather be here than "over there" making Elmo money
Yeah, it's going to take quite a while to train the algorithm. I'm making liberal use of muting and "show less like this".
I like this setting for my following feed. I see posts from people I'm not directly following and feel like I'm missing less of what's important to me.
Discover feed tries to guess what you like, and when it doesn't know you very well - it shows random nonsense. Once you've engaged here for a while it gets better. My Discover is pretty much reads my mind, it's like a voodoo magic.
A lot of people are coming over feeling that it's just a to Twitter replacement but it's actually Twitter 2.0. You can do things like mass block. Pin and unpin your timelines. Turn on music integration. Block engagement farming.
It's more than equal to Twitter. It's Twitter 2.0.
I always found Twitter was at its best when used sequentially tbh
I’ve hope that there’ll be enough meaningful activity on here to have a similar vibe again
I like it ok, found a few people to follow on it, I do hate that it’s presented out of order though, social feeds should always be ordered chronologically
I mean .. you dont have to use the for you tab. Just click that little box to the right of it and literally every single issue that anyone has with Twitter has suddenly been fixed. Except for the block thing which is a total non issue anyway so who cares.
Half of my discover page has been pretty good at showing me stuff but half of it is just stuff I don't have an interest in. Still better than Twitter tho
I’m glad you’re here, you’re one of the reasons I held off deleting my Twitter but I finally pulled the trigger on that last Wednesday for obvious reasons lol.
