EA does and they always do, take a highly praised company and run it into the ground. Took years for it to happen to BioWare but it’s an inevitability the moment EA buys a company.

I've started playing through Veilguard within this last week, and it's actually quite more engaging than Inquisition was.

Totally agree. I’m like 50 hours in and, while the writing is heavy-handed at the times and the characters can be a little stiff, the game is very fun and that’s really the only metric that I rely on.

This might be a hot-take from me, but it seems Dragon Age has never had engaging combat.

I think Dragon Age has been exceedingly middle-road for both story and dialog throughout it's lifespan. But for once, the combat is engaging.

And many of the rage-bait YTers are Tourists to the series.
