In terms of cosmetic differences, I think swapping colors would be good enough. Each shader is comprised of 2 metal materials, 2 leather materials, 2 cloth materials, an emissive (glow) material, and a few other detail maps. Just swap which areas use each material so they shade differently.

Universal ornaments were a step in the right direction, now I want universal exotic patterns, & "universal effects". Like specific to my class & / or applicable to armour pieces I want to have a crackling energy for arc that increases as super nears etc.

Give us visual cues, glowy symbols etc.

Armor should be 70 points pre masterwork. All the master work and cypher enhancements. And come with an ornament for a “shiny” look. This is such a great idea though!

I agree that this would be a cool idea, but I think it being a visual thing that others can see was partly what made it so cool. Since you can only have a single exotic armor piece equipped, they could maybe make it some glow effect on your entire character or something like that

Destiny 2 should add exotic armor catalysts. Each armor should have 3 catalyst choices. One that enhances the exotic perk. One that enhances a couple stats. and one that is sort of a middle of the road of the 2. Give the game some real RPG aspects.
