Ultimately, I think the damage to our relationship with the United States is significant. Maybe one day we'll return to something like what we had in 2015, but it'll never be the same.

Not all Americans are our enemies, but we will need economic measures that hurt them all, unfortunately.

It's entirely possible the internal pain drives them to cut tariffs, but Trump will gussy it up with pretending we did more to get rid of the (almost non-existent) fentanyl going over the border or whatever. But yes, possible. But I think the relationship is damaged permanently...especially NATO
