Gundam SEED received the most RG releases this year, starting with the RG Force Impulse Gundam SpecII - that dropped soon after the movie release. Whilst nice, it was simply a recolor of the existing Impulse kit with new decals.

The Blast Impulse Gundam received its RG debut, in the form of SEED Freedom’s Spec II. The OG colorway is still to come!

And just released is the RG Akatsuki Gundam (Oowashi Sky Pack). An interesting kit due to its stunning - if pricey - plated finish, whist partially based on an older (read...13 years older) RG inner frame.

The RG Akatsuki Gundam received a complementary Shiranui Pack & HG Zeus Silhouette Connection Parts set. The latter enabling this RG kit to connect up with the HG Zeus Silhouette, due to the same 1/144 scale.

The major RG release this year though, was the RX-78-2 Gundam Ver.2.0. A pivot point in RG mechanics, it offers a far more substantial, enjoyable inner frame build. The complex look isn’t for all RX fans, but it’s wonderful to see this detail irl at 1/144 scale.
