One of the reasons the program crapped out was that restaurants wanted to invest more in making them nice but needed assurances they wouldn’t be asked to demolish thousands of dollars of investment a month after they finished them.

Lived in Park Slope during Covid, had a car for a month between Thanksgiving and Christmas, parking was a nightmare, not helped by the outdoor dining, but I attributed the main issue to the hubris of relying on street parking for a car in a city with great public transportation, not dining sheds.

this restaurant had an incredible run as the main character of park slope restaurant for like 3 months. incredibly popular with some, controversial with others. but nice outdoor dining and I've never seen it empty in nice weather
