Do some of Sabrina Carpenter’s songs maybe have a wee bit of peak era Shania Twain in them

Yes!!! I thought she was country-pop, not just pop. She has a certain twang on some words

I could imagine some more explicitly pop-country arrangements to a lot of these without too much effort!

I hear a lot of unusual-for-contemporary-pop influences in her music. In particular, I had to check more than once to see if Jenny Lewis was involved in writing "Please, Please, Please." Also, why isn't Jenny Lewis doing this sort of thing?

I reckon it's more than a wee bit, and what Sabrina does with the influence is great.
