So, friends online & in person have been hitting burnout/overwhelm, & I get there too. I strongly strongly recommend trying out an aggregator/summarizer or two until you find one that helps you feel informed but not overwhelmed. Doom scrolling is literally self harm, so here's some that help me:

Daily summaries of a lot of stuff, generally a paragraph or two on each as needed, can get as overwhelming as the normal news cycle, due to the shock tactics in play, but still easier to digest than a wall of doom-head0lines run by $$new$$
Written by a long time advocate and lovely human, was weekly last time we as a nation leapt into dumpsterfiredom, IDK if it'll be weekly this time or not, as things are getting fraught.
