Personally it wouldn't make an impact on me--I usually am drawn to games depending on atmosphere, style, or the kind of genre they are!

Right out of the bat, first time I boot up? Completely whatever. At best I would assume there's an achievment for "Open a Door!".

Now, if I FINISH the game, and I got like... 15 achievments out of 140?? Now you got me hooked, bro.

TL;DR Very often big achievment numbers mean meanigless achievments

I've never looked at achievements before buying a game. Either it looks like fun game or not, achievements wont change that.

I personally have a 50/50 on hidden achievements. Seeing a big amount of achievements awakes interest in exploring every corner, every action, every item and every outcome. But on the other hand if they're hidden maybe oftentimes one has to play the game the times needed to get said achievements 🤔

If I’m looking, I see it like a “fake out” game where it’s pretending to be something but is actually something else. And then after that my inner completionist starts foaming at the mouth because of vague “ooooo crypticccc” descriptions aren’t always fun to figure out.

Possibly more, on the grounds that means the game values discovery. If you know there's an achievement "Found The Key In Old Clock", well, you're going to search the old clock, aren't you?

It wouldn't effect my interest in the game, I'd still get it, but I do prefer knowing how to get achievements so I can actively work towards them. I feel like 120 is a lot? I feel like I'd end up looking up a guide after a while and I don't really like doing that.

Hmmm, i dont think id notice.

I dont really look at the achievements outside the very few cases where i get curious.
