It just sounds like another marketing point, not an actual fact of reality.
Bluesky is entirely driven by VC money at this time.
Whereas fediverse actually is billionaire proof, has been for years, and is actively resisting encroachment from Meta.

My main point is, how is Fediverse "actually billionaire proof" while at the same time, ATmosphere according to you is not? If it's a "theory vs practice" thing, ATmosphere *is* allowing people to self-host as of this month (open their own instance/PDS). Not many have taken adv of this to date

If you're a company who wants to use ActivityPub for asynchronous internal communication, that's a good use case. If you're a subreddit admin, again, Mastodon is just the ticket. But ActivityPub is not the be all and end all, and there is room for BlueSky also

On top of this, ActivityPub is developed by an actual standards organisation (IEEE if I'm not mistaken). Their work tends to be inefficient and slow in the extreme. ATmosphere is developed in part by a business, which can move fast and break things.
