I've been alternating between Heavy Bowgun and Charge Blade. They've been a pretty solid combination in many a hunt.

The designs are GREAT! I always love finishing off a monster and then running to Gemma to see what the armor sets look like haha

Weirdly enough, I don't have PSN+ and I've been able to access lobbies. Not sure if it's because she does and we share a console or what.
