that series is a real win for the walkable cities lovers (me)

its fun and silly but theres a deeper heart and progression that really makes you love the characters. unlike her gag series she lets the characters grow up and change in a way thats really refreshing for a romcom anime

also it's not that it's more serious but their problems are more realistic (like trying to get into college instead of looking for the cursed spring of drowned man 😭)

also in the ranma remake if you watch the background apartments where ranma meets kodachi you can see mrs ichinose doing laundry. its a cute touch

i think clock hill is supposed to be in nerima, so it makes sense. its a fake neighborhood so you mostly have to go off landmarks

it's funny though because in Maison Ikkoku they also keep showing little Ataru and Shinobu (which is probably just an easter egg) but i want to think they all live near each other

i believe they do, at least nerima is where all the various rumic statues are located. i believe she was living there when writing all 3 series
