In fairness, Pete Marocco also admits the entire basis for the review was a spreadsheet that lists award IP, amount, title, and occasionally location. If that’s all they’re using to make decisions, the pace is plausible – but also all the more horrifying.

Court filings suggest 5,800 out of 6,300 USAID awards terminated, 4,100 out of 6,800 State awards. Or about 76% of awards. We don't know what percent of award/obligation *values* --could be a lot lower.

Free Beacon/AP claiming access to an internal memo that suggests $54bn in cuts to USAID contracts. I think that is likely using maximum value of indefinite quantity contracts and total contract value however much already paid out, so hard to know yet what real harm is.

‘Ceiling value’ of USAID retained awards is $57bn according to admin. That too likely involves indefinite quantity contracts that can be (individually) multi-billion but where obligations are a fraction of that. Can’t be certain what is extent of real cuts until we see contracts.
