Not a majority mind but a very large bloc. There’s still at least one MSNBC hosts overtly furious with Nancy Pelosi for dislodging Biden, which is seen as a bad (because disloyal?) thing

Funny I see more obsession and importance about what MSNBC hosts have to say from people who say they despise MSNBC than from who you call rank and file Democrat.
This feels like a leftist version of Glenn Greenwald mocking CNN for low ratings while simultaneously saying Trump's unpopularity was because people fall for what CNN says. Can't have it both ways
I mean yeah you shouldn’t obsess over MSNBC hosts and their pathologies. Their viewership is melting away. But I am describing a sizable minority of Dems, and this portrait is worth a short thread
I don't believe rank and file Dems are thinking of what Neera Tanden, Donna Brazille and Mr Weeks 1982 have to say to form an opinion. Yeah they're pissed at losing an election and the consequences of it being bad which was warned. What political party in the world doesn't do that?
But rank & file Dems are never a monolith and it’s good to see the component parts clearly! A large minority of the party would’ve been happy to stick with Biden as candidate [slide please] and more still blame anti-genocide protesters for Kamala’s defeat more than Biden or Harris
Your screenshot states that figure was a decline for Biden showing people in the party were moved for change. That disputes your original point. There's always going to be loyalists but 3 in 10 in no other context is a "large minority". 4 in 10 voters wanted Hoover to stay in office
And I have never gotten such vitriol on social media as when said Biden should step down and call for an open mini primary. My goodness the ballistic, emotional defense of gorked-out Joe Biden! The nasty imprecations! And from all kinds of accounts that didn’t seem like bots
To point out that a large low-information bloc of the Dem base has a major political death wish and is actively hostile to any efforts to make the party not suck isn’t a call to give up, as this account eagerly ascribes to me. Step One is seeing this voter coalition clearly, however unflattering
The people I am talking about are the 3 in 10 Democrats who 2wreks after Biden’s debate insisted he had the mental acuity to not just run for President but actually be president for another 4 years. That’s a big chunk of the Dem base! These people are a problem in need of a solution

They skew old though so there's definitely a solution that happens day-by-day.
