Companies have been profiting on this crap for years.
Sometimes, the only way to get Americans pissed off enough to do something is apply something that will directly affect every one of them.
The removal of Section 230 = liability = companies blocking content = really pissed of people.
Most people do not have an issue with civilized conversation, even if there are subjects people are upset/disagree with.
But people *are* upset with the hate against trans people, which is allowed to spread on those same platforms as liability doesn't apply.
Time for that the end.
Bad actors on the right could sue Bluesky into non-existence for allowing trans people to post here. The current administration considers acknowledging our existence to be "harmful to children".
