Our report last year found even just measuring and mapping the prevalence of this violence was a challenge due to the limited availability of reliable data.
Women are invisible in the school curriculum. Boys are not learning about women’s achievements, opinions and experiences. They are not taught to develop empathy and see women as people.
Labour must tackle this root cause of violence of violence against women and girls. End sexism in schools.
