Quick question from someone who can't read the article because of its paywall: What possible "Widespread effects" could result from WeWork failing? Their whole service is providing office space for telecommuters, right? Are there truly no alternatives?

Seems to me that the headline is a little misleading. WeWork going bankrupt would be a symptom of a larger trend in commercial real estate, but the piece doesn't elaborate on how that failure itself would cause more downstream problems.

Sigh. Journalism these days.
