Can't remember. Either way there was an issue which the fix wasn't seriously tried or the potential of it hasn't materialised. And now we are where we are, unable to replace him, or recruit a new #1.

There may be a lack of PSR headroom, but this isn't a new issue, it's a two year old plus one that the club haven't taken seriously enough for whatever reason.

Exactly. He making a huge call here. Whether it’s to cover the ownership groups parsimony or it’s a purely footballing decision, that’s still unclear.

One thing isn’t though, and that is we’ll know either way by the end of the season if he was right to stick!

Honestly, Keeper should have been replaced, but he hasn't. Doing that now for something better, and that would work in the EPL very difficult, probably not possible. I'd be OK if we put the money into CF or 10 that makes the difference in those games in which we miss too many chances

Think quite a few of our current side have ostensibly ‘lost the crowd’ at some point, though I’ll concede that it’s harder for a keeper to win them back over given that it’s typically goals, assists & crunching tackles that do it. Think the majority will still back Meslier. #lufc

He’d win the crowd back over if he was performing better. He’s not only making mistakes but his performance just isn’t there full stop. His shot stopping statistics are some of the worst in the league

Why should Meslier be immune from being dropped when Farke has dropped the players this season due to poor form. We have another goalkeeper who Farke needs to stand by and give him a run other wise what message does that send to Darlow.

The crowd issue is the one for me. Even against Harrogate there were ironic cheers when Darlow caught the ball. There’s a tension in the stands every time the ball goes near Meslier and it is only going to get worse.
