Each day here in the states I wake up to more terrible news and I feel as if half of us are in some waking nightmare, seeing the writing on the wall years ago, while witnessing the other half of people gaslighting us to believe this is *better*

It reminds me of this writing prompt I saw a while back: "The Anti-Christ came and went, but no one noticed because it wasn't any worse than what we'd seen. The Rapture happened, but no one was taken to heaven. We've been living in hell for years, and no one has realized it yet."
