I'm using RPG in a Box. It's not currently intended for the type of shooter I'm making, so there's a lot that I have to work around, but it's a fun engine.
Interesting, I haven't even heard of that one before.
I've on/off been porting Ken Silverman's PND3D engine (another Voxel thing) JVM land just cuz I want there to be a nice open source Voxel engine to play with in that area, but I'll generally lose interest.
I've played with PND3D a bit. It's really cool. I'd also check out Gabe Rundlett's project. It has some neat stuff going on and will connect you with a lot of other people who are pushing in-game voxel boundaries. 🤍
Ken Silverman makes incredible stuff. Have you tried out "VoxLap Cave Demo"? Its a cool demo where you shoot the environment and has voxel-based physics, It's from Ken's friend, Tom Dobrowolski.
