We have absolutely been talking to labor unions, however, the unions we have spoken to do not feel it’s necessary to general strike right now, as they want to go through more traditional channels. There is also the Taft-Hartley Act, which is an imposition.

We are still in in dialogue with unions as we “hope” that as traditional continue methods fail they will be more open for a strike, but they are in a sticky situation legally.

This movement was started back in 2022 by Eliza and her roommate. Eliza is the one that I mentioned helped the organizing efforts to get fast food workers $15 an hour. However, we are also a decentralized group. We have chapters in each state, the goal is to have a chapters in all 50 states.

From there, we encourage people to get involved in their local chapter. The local chapters do many things, but the main thing that they do is coordinate with mutual aid groups and build support systems so that when it comes time to strike each state, each local area, has support.

Some of our members don’t mind being more forward facing, but a lot of our members understandably don’t want to show their faces, especially given the current climate, as it can impeded organizing efforts in this early stage.
