When corporations abandoned American jobs for higher profits overseas Americans cobbled together new ways to earn money. Uber, importing Asian doo-dads, Boutiques, all of which are threatened heavily by Trump's policies. Wait till all the truck drivers can't work. A general strike is possible.

A year ago I would have seriously doubted this possibility. Not any more; when the tariffs land next month, the screaming will reach painful levels. A general strike is not out of the question.

I don't think so. In France, the unions are very powerful and they have a decades-old tradition of crippling General Strikes. It's become almost structural to the culture and how the Government functions. "À la grêve! Au barricades!"(Strike! Let's go to the barricades!)

Wonderfully educational video! We allowed capitalism to systematically eat away the middle class and its working rights. Education began deteriorating in the early sixties and it all went downhill from there.
