Unsure if I'm mad, genius or a mixture of both. The sight on my bow canna gaun low enough to use in long range shots, so superglued a nut onto the unused arrow shelf.....and....it works. Never seen this done ever before. #archery - ThreadSky

Bad thing is it's a fixed peep sight. At 35m, I have to aim 4 inches low, 4 inches left, but still better than 'aiming' 3ft above the intended target.

Sounds kinda like gap shooting. If you know what distance you are banging them in with that, then you can work out how much higher or lower you need for various distances.
I'm really bad at judging distance.

Also, a weird thing I do on long shots. Split grip....but 2 fingers above the arrow and 1 below. Gives me an extra 12 inches of height on the target. Unconventional, but it works.

I'm okay at judging distances, but hell, uphill shots are difficult. Got to aim far higher than you think. The joys of field archery.

Uphill and downhill, always keeps it interesting. There is a 3D shoot I love going to in Germany, great people who organise it, love Scotland.
Anyway, they make great use of the hills there, can be quite challenging at times.

We're really happy with the way our woodland course is coming on. Add extra targets every few weeks. Only trouble is, it's too difficult for beginners and bows 30lb and under.
