i'm sure silksong is gonna be good, but my one fear is that they double down on super hard soulsy boss fights. the focus on those is maybe my least favorite thing about modern, post-HK metroidvanias. i never beat HK despite loving it because i eventually just got tired of retrying a late game boss

Hope none of that leaks into Silksong's main game. That stuff was optional for a reason.
Eventually I came back to grind for a weapon upgrade, but even then, it wasn't satisfying to beat them, bosses after that one were easier again, it felt like an unfair difficulty spike
