Also, recommend getting Lifestraws and/ or water purification tablets. If anyone gets the tablets, make sure to get some sort of water flavoring packet to keep with them. The tablets can make water taste off and chemically.
If you can afford it, get an extra, or a family-sized purification pitcher. Or be the local hero and go all-out for a 15-gallon, 100 people for a year community filter!

Store your uncooked rice in air tight containers in the freezer. Helps protect it from weevils and will last longer. Also, those store bought dried beans can be planted. Just soak them overnight before planting. 🧡
It doesn’t hurt to buy flour and pasta too. I remember both were harder to get during the pandemic. Flour is less shelf stable than rice but dry pasta lasts a while.
