In your best interest compared to what? As others have noted, best interest needs clarification / fleshing out. Also need some more thought on what death means here. The stoic idea that we can never experience death because death means our non existence comes to mind.

Seems the crux is whether "in your best interest" and "better for you" are used as synonyms.
If yes, then one must agree, because it is a tautology.

If no, then depends. For example if "in your best interest" is situation-specific (e.g. quick death rather than torture before death).
