That’s great. I once wrote to Ossie Ardiles imploring that he signed John McGinlay of Bolton. A few months later they signed Klinsmann!

Of course he didn’t. But at the time, a young me was very surprised to get a reply…on headed paper as well!!! Probably dictated something to his secretary who then sent multiple copies to people like me.

Let’s try that again. Yes it came from him I’ve no doubt about that. He’s probably dictated it to his staff. The spelling is too good to come from his own typing
