What I'm really talking about is my main platform (twitter) reducing my reach over time and then imploding completely, tabling at my first con and us artists getting kinda screwed over, manus getting rid of products I'd rely on, etc..+

My health has also been rough the past year, physical and mental. That was a big factor in why I posted so little new art—I pushed through as best as I could but some days I could hardly sit upright. I'm doing better, but still more sick than not as of right now+
I wanna be clear though I'm not saying this for pity or to put blame on people who didn't or couldn't support me (especially monetarily) last year, because it's not their fault at all. It's no one's fault—but that's kind of where the frustration and lost feeling comes from, because I've been trying+
I'm hoping this new year can be a much needed fresh start in all senses. I'm taking better care of myself physically and mentally but I want to nurture my creative spirit too, put time into personal projects but also reinvigorate the business part of it+
Honestly I do need the store and comms for the income, but also for the fulfillment. I do my day job because I have to, but I do the art stuff because I love it. I'll reopen them for sure and hopefully sooner rather than later, but it has to feel right+
All I can do for now is keep going making stuff I guess, I wanna share more art than last year for sure (moreso when I've finished some owed stuff soon). So thanks to those who have been here for me thus far and those who will be here from this point forward, you mean so much to me
Hugs and well wishes and all that good stuff my dude. I know how some of that can feel and damn does it always sUCK. Glad to know you're feeling better and I hope you continue improving mental and physically. Don't feel too pressured to get art out instantly; people can deal while you do you 💪
I hope everything continues to improve for you as we welcome in this new year! Be kind to yourself, take care of yourself as you have been and things will get better. I can’t wait to see what it brings and will jump at the chance for another comm from you as soon as you’re ready to offer them!
