Reminder: All this post-election analysis is mostly based on exit polls in 10 states. Really good data that answers the questions that are most burning will not come for *months*, when Pew and others release data that's far more elaborate.

Pre election Bsky: "Remember that exit polls are not necessarily indicative of anything!"
Post election Bsky: "Wow, check out the cross tabs of 2020 exit polls to the 2024 cross tabs, you can clearly see that Harris lost because of {INSERT ISSUE I CARE ABOUT}"
So 6-12 months in when they have irrefutable proof this election was not secure, they’ll do absolutely nothing about it. Cuz, you know…
“too late”! Déjà vu.
That doesn't mean the big trends the exits reveal are wrong. But getting deep into which combinations of issues or disinformation or burn it down or sexism or racism played out for among all the granular groups---that takes time.
Disinformation played a big role in it too, to be sure. And for some reason Trump draws a cult appeal for some people. I just don’t get it. I don’t find anything appealing about him at all. He’s so obviously a lying con artist.I find him so phony, so I don’t understand people who think he’s authentic
I’m seriously sick of most of these analyses when everyone I know who went & voted for Trump has complained that things cost too much & expressed the belief he will somehow magically bring prices back down to what they were 5 years ago.
I know. I tried
Nothing I’ve said could convince them otherwise
