My 18 yo daughter is trying to get an IUD. First appt she was informed they don’t insert IUDs on women unless they already have children. We’ve called every other gyn in our area and they are at least 5 months out on appts for new patients or they are only accepting pregnant patients.

Sadly normal. I tried to get my tubes tied at 18 in VA in 1987, 20 in Texas, 22 in CO and in the military, only to be told I needed to have at least 3 kids before they would consider it. Worse yet, 10 years with menstrual bleeding at 20+days a month, before I got a hysterectomy for the same reason.

In Louisville (where I live) the parts for GE appliances made at Appliance Park are sourced from the US.

I was just reading about cars, and parts/manufacturing are all over the place. There are more foreign made parts in a Ford than there are in a Subaru. IAC, tariffs will make cars unaffordable.

I've got them in a bin under my bed, with a backpack in there as well. I've also got a little teardrop trailer that, in an emergency, I could hook up quickly and take. It has a lot more supplies in it, plus room for 2 people + 2 dogs to sleep (even if uncomfortably).
