Haaa! Too funny. We’re rewatching it now as well, and we have a running joke that Chris can pretty much be convinced to change his mind about anything. He comes in with an opinion but is so open minded, he can be swayed to change it.

I started watching it with my 18yo daughter this summer, and she *could not* get past how awful the Shelly/Maurice/Hollis triangle was because of the age gaps between her and the two hims. And through my daughter's eyes, it really was hard to take.

No judgment, this just kinda reads weird to me right now. I'm in LA and yes, it is stressful waiting for disaster to break out. It is a big responsibility. I was just talking to a therapist yesterday who has had several clients in the ER over the weekend + free services to fire victims. It's a lot.

I'm older than you, so I saw that type as already established, but Chris exemplified it in such a beautiful way that he was a beloved character immediately. I saw those characters as being a natural development from the beatnik coolness of late 50s which was before my time, but it was a transition.
